Volvo Cars realised a trial run campaign in Elisa WAP service from May to June 2007. The campaign was to reach new target groups through mobile. During the campaign, interest of the people was aroused towards certain Volvo Car models by visual elements, i.e. banners, in wap.elisa.net service. When user clicked the banner he was automatically forwarded to the trial form. The user would fill in his contact information and submit the form, which was sent to the nearest Volvo retailer, who then planned the trial run.In addition, the campaign had a theme site with the most relevant arguments for the Volvo being presented at the moment. Through the campaign, Volvo Cars got significant amount of high quality trial runs, and many trial runners ended up in the buying process.
