Klikki introduces a new mobile marketing channel that reaches on average 430 000 consumers

The Nordic internet marketing company KliKKi is introducing an entirely new kind of channel for mobile advertising. The introduced mobile advertising package offers advertisers a way to reach the majority of mobile internet users in Finland. Mobile marketing has been growing in international markets but in Finland the advertisers have until now lacked a channel that would have wide enough coverage.

Klikki’s new mobile advertising package offers advertisers a channel that reaches 430 000 unique visitors and provides 3, 5 million mobile webpage views on a monthly basis. All of the major mobile carriers such as DNA, Elisa, Saunalahti, Sonera and TeleFinland are represented in Klikki’s mobile package. The package thus offers marketers the possibility to reach the vast majority of mobile internet users easily and effectively through one single channel. Previously this kind of product has not been available in the Finnish market.

“Our new product will unquestionably speed up the growth of mobile marketing in Finland. We are now able to offer marketers a single product that has a wide coverage of the target group. With a product like this, investments in mobile marketing can be seen reasonable”, says Jukka Sundquist, Sales Director at Klikki.

When it comes to mobile marketing, the reported number of unique visitors is truly reliable as the users of different portals are not overlapping. Therefore the statistics on unique visitors are significantly more accurate than e.g. estimates based on panel research.

Furthermore, Klikki’s mobile package offers advertisers an attractive target group. Based on IRO Research, men (53%) and female (47%) consumers are nearly equally represented in the package. In addition, different age groups are well represented as 42 % of the users are 25-44 year olds and 41% percent 45-64 year olds.

Also the mobile phone operators have big expectations regarding the new product.

“We have seen positive examples of co-operation between different operators from other market areas”, continues Petri Pekkarinen, Senior Development Manager at TeliaSonera. “This kind of package that offers a wide coverage and a target group relevant to many advertisers seems to be the new efficient channel the market has been waiting for”, concludes Hannu Turunen, Director at DNA.

The research was conducted by IRO Research Oy during week 4/2010. The sample was 136 658 Finnish mobile internet users.
